Please don't be offended...

It has been a long couple of months for us, and we are SO excited to come home for Christmas. Even more exciting is that we get to bring Avery with us! Her stay in the NICU was very long and tiring for us. One reservation about coming home is Avery getting sick. Please don't be offended by her germaphobic parents. We may ask you not to touch her, breath on her, or even look at her (just kidding about the looking)! We don't want to be rude, but we cannot have her back in the hospital. We hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!

Don't worry, Hilary, I am resting up, and giving everything I've got to beating this cold so I can at least look at sweet little Avery in the coming weeks. Thanks for the invitation today, and we certainly hope it will be extended again when I'm at the pinnacle of healthiness. Enjoy Josh's time off! She is darling, by the way!

Hil this has got to be the most 100% legit request ever. Having a baby in the winter is always a challenge and especially with all you guys have gone through. Little Avery is so cute and tiny! I'm assuming she's still doing well at home. You will have the best holiday finally getting some time to relax! Hope I get to see you.

I don't blame you for wanting to keep little Avery healthy. There is always so much sickness going around this time of year! Hope you guys have a very fun Christmas back home!

It's not a ridiculous or an offensive request. I'm really excited to see you guys in a few days! I'll finally see her in person!

Don't listen to Colette - it's a great bow!!!! Love the HUGE flower! No one will wonder if your baby is a girl or boy! That's a great thing.
Seriously, she is beautiful! How is parenthood?
Your request for people to keep their distance is absolutely understood and actually very smart! Good thinking!
Keep us posted on your sweet baby girl.
