Dearest Avery Grace,
I can't believe that you are one year old today! This year has been so wonderful with you in our home! We had a little bit of a rocky start, but once you got home, it has been great.
You give the sweetest "loves" and "kisses." The best is when you do it without me asking. I L.O.V.E. it!
You have learned how to turn lights off. After you wake up, you always want to go to the light switch. It's very sweet.
You have the cutest curly, blond hair and brightest blue eyes. Thanks to your grandmas.
Bath time is your favorite time of the day. You would stay in the tub all night if we would let you!
You still love hiding behind blankets and waiting for us to say "where's Avery?" You never get tired of this game!
We thought that you had mastered sleeping through the night, but a couple weeks ago you started waking up again. You don't need us to come and get you. You would rather just talk to yourself for hours at a time.
I frequently hear the words dada, nana (banana), mama, and okay. You have also said good and no.
Whenever you hear the Miley Cyrus song "Party in the USA," you go wild. You drop whatever you are doing and start dancing and moving your hips! You like most music, but that song is your favorite.
You like to clap and cheer whenever you hear others do it. You have mastered waving, especially the princess wave.
TV isn't your favorite activity, you will barely sit long enough to realize it is on. I am sure you will love it soon.
You love to crawl. For a long time you would crawl with one kneel and a foot- your version of a speed crawl. Lately, you are been crawling normal. But if you really want something, you will revert back to your old ways of speed crawling. Whenever you hear Dad coming in the door, you speed crawl to him at the front door. It is so cute to watch!
I try to help you to walk, but you have no desire. You will walk along furniture, but are easily distracted by your toys.
My life has forever been changed and I love it. You have taught me to love more, be more patient, and that nothing goes according to plan!

Avery is such an adorable little girl! I can't believe it has been a year already! I loved reading her stats.. she is a little one. My baby Ezra is a little taller than Avery, and a a couple of pounds lighter, but he is about 9 months younger. :) It's amazing how different each child is. She is super cute! Congrats on making it through the first year! :)
