Late last year, I finally got glasses. I had been putting off going to the eye doctor, but Josh finally convinced me to go. So this year, I decided to try contacts. Wow...its been a big struggle for me. Ever since I can remember I have hated ANYTHING that has to do with blood and the body. So I knew that the contact thing would be a huge struggle for me.
When I first tried to put my contacts in, my eye won't stop twitching. I got so frustrated I felt the doctor's office and I decided to come back another day. Before I went back again, I gave myself a little prep talk."Its only a small thing, you can do. Even 12 years olds can do it...." After another frustrating hour of trying to insert my contacts, I finally had one in!!! Just 15 minutes later, I had both contacts in. I let out a huge "wahooooo." I am still not a pro, but at least its not a hour each morning! If you have any great tips, please let me know!!

I don't have any tips, but I remember watching this kid do it in the optometrist's office while I was waiting for Dave to finish up with his appointment... It looks really hard! One thing I remember the optometrist saying was to focus straight ahead & look in the mirror, not at your fingers.
Good luck!
Hilary, this is eliza bell thompson. I was totally blog surfing and came across yours. Anyway, I just wanted to say hi, b/c you were so cute and friendly in high school. btw, I have contacts and they were a huge pain right at first but now its no big deal. I use one finger to pull down my lower lid while I insert the lens on the other hand's finger. does that make sense? anyway, hope that helps, it was good to hear about you!
