Farts lead to...

Congratulations to Avery. She had her first bowel movement last night! In all seriousness, this is some of the best news we have heard in our journey in the NICU. Next step, eating! Get going girl!

Way to go Girl. It is so good that she has passed this point. Now on to some good food. We love her beautiful eyes which you can already see her personality when she looks at you.

Love to you all

Did you ever think you'd be so interested in another human's bowel movements? That and worrying comes with parenthood--enjoy!

Way to go Avery!

Hi Hilary, This is Hilary (Carlson) Garfield's mom, Kim. I don't know where I have been, but I ran into your mom today at church and she told me you had little Avery already and that she had some problems. She gave me this link and I'm so glad she did. Your little daughter is so cute and such a fighter. I pray your daughter continues to heal and fart and poop and eat on her own and all those good things that will eventually get her home with you and dad. Three of my grandkids ended up in the NICU and I know how hard this must be. I'll be checking in to watch her progress. All the best!
