To most states, October 31st is Halloween, but not to Nevada. It is a Nevada Day, which means no school for Josh!! We got awesome tickets on Southwest this past summer and were able to fly home on Thursday afternoon and back early Monday morning. While we were there we also had 1st birthday party for Avery! It was so fun.
Lindsay and I made Avery's cake
Opening presents

Avery's was being shy when everyone was singing to her!

Avery loved eating her cake!

Avery and great-grandma Arbuckle- Avery as a monkey and grandma as a glitter girl

We were on a Safari and Avery is what we caught!

Thanks for sharing your pictures! They turned out a lot better than mine. I'm glad you finally revealed the mystery of Nevada Day, I was beginning to wonder why Josh never had school on Halloween.

Hey there...just finally checking up on a couple blogs. Love all the Avery pictures. She's so cute. Love the safari outfits. Good job on dressing up. Can't wait to see you soon. And the 30th was Nevada Day. The 31st was still Halloween. ;)
Just kidding. You were right. The 31st is Nevada Day. My bad. :)
