Pioneers

I teach the Valiant 9 class at church. All year long (since January), we have been talking about the pioneers. Today our lesson was on the pioneers finally reaching the Salt Lake Valley. I told my class a couple of stories, then a girl raised her hand to share a comment. You never know what a 9 year old is going to share, but today I was in total shock. She asked me about the Indians coming to Salt Lake. I wasn't sure what she was talking about. It ends up she thought the pioneers were all indians and that pioneers still lived primatively in Salt Lake. It was so funny, I had to try so hard not to laugh! I have such a sweet class!
